New parking rules in Bangkok

The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) has tightened regulations of motorbike parking. Now the fine for parking on footpaths is 5 000THB already.

According to the plan of cleaning Thai capital’s appearance The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) has tightened regulations of motorbike parking.

 Now the fine for parking on footpaths is 5 000THB already. Drivers have to park their transport in the special space or at the nearby alleys. All 50 district offices in Bangkok were instructed to control the effectuation of new rules. One of the main problems with the parking in Bangkok is illegal motor-taxi companies, which start their small business right on the footpaths.
