On two days a week, Wednesdays and Sundays, the tours will start at 15:00. The departure point for these is Yangon City Hall. These two days are being funded by donations from tour participants while on the other days there is a US$10 fixed fee for joining.
These tours depart at 09:00, a cooler time of day, and can be pre-booked on Beyond Boundaries’ website. All the tours take around two hours in total and are led by knowledgeable English-speaking guides.
The new schedule is a resumption of walking tours previously led by expat Gino Joseph. These ended when he relocated to Australia. According to the 12GO ASIA team in Myanmar, Beyond Boundaries boss Mya Nandar Aung is reinstating the tours because they were popular and many people had asked for them.
