As Transport Company Limited reported, all of their 795 public buses in Thailand were equipped with a Global Positioning System (GPS) in the frame as a bus modernization program. It should improve service as Transport Department will be able to monitor the movement of buses and drivers' actions.

Transport Company Limited also motivates private bus companies to involve in the program and install GPS devices. At this time there are about 6 000 buses in Thailand. The Transport Department promises to reimburse part of the cost of installing for private companies. So total cost for equipment of each bus will be 800 instead of 2000 baht.
