Eurowings announces direct Munich to Bangkok flights

German budget airline Eurowings has confirmed the launch of direct flights between Munich and Bangkok. The twice weekly service will commence in mid-June and will be the first scheduled low-cost connection between the southern German state of Bavaria and Thailand.

The maiden outbound flight from Munich will take off on the 15 June and, due to the time differences between the two nations, the return flight will depart the next day. Eurowings is a low-cost subsidiary of Germany’s Lufthansa Airlines Group.

The Lufthansa regional manager for Thailand and Vietnam is Stefan Molnar. He told media sources Lufthansa was happy to be adding an extra flight option for people travelling between Germany and Thailand. He noted the additional link would enhance the group’s presence in the Mekong region and Southeast Asia as a whole.
