New road opened in Vietnam

On 19 January new 35-km section of the National Highway №1 was opened. It runs through the central province Ha Tinh.

On 19 January new 35-km section of the National Highway №1 was opened. It runs through the central province Ha Tinh from Xuan Vien Commune in Nghi Xuan District to Thach Viet Commune in Thach Ha District.

The road has six lines and nine bridges. The total cost of the construction, which was completed in 16 months, is 94 million dollars USA. This road is just one part of a big Highway №1 expansion project, which should be completed up to 2016 year. The National Highway №1 runs through 31 provinces and cities, its expansion should reduce traffic accidents and congestions.
