Rail routes covered will include the urban Yangon Circular service and Yangon to Mandalay intercity trains. The digital platform will allow travellers full internet usage with everything from social media websites and online games to live video streams accessible.
MySQUAR will provide the service free for users and hopes to generate income from advertisements. According to 12GO ASIA sources in Myanmar, income will also be garnered from shares in commission from the sites the users log on to.
MySQUAR CEO Eric Schaer told media sources the firm was delighted to be collaborating with Myanma Railways on providing digital content for rail passengers and station users. He noted that it was a partnership for the future as usage of the national railway network was expected to increase drastically over the next few years.

News in AsiaMyanma Railways has agreed terms with a domestic digital provider to offer wireless internet services on its trains. Under the terms of the memorandum of understanding signed recently, MySQUAR will set up a wifi network to cover stations and trains under the jurisdiction of the Myanmar national rail company.
