Hanoi music academy to host an evening of flamenco dance and music

Culture vultures and tourists in Hanoi have the rare chance of taking in an evening of flamenco next Monday. Famed flamenco dancer Ursula Lopez will be live on stage at the Vietnamese capital’s Academy of Music at 20:00.

Ms Lopez will be giving a show entitled the Small Things with the able assistance of singer Gema Caballero and guitarist Javier Patino. The Cordoba born flamenco artiste brings a wealth of experience to Hanoi and has long been a staple performer at global arts festivals.

Tickets for the performance are free and available from the Hanoi Embassy of Spain. The concert will last for 1 hour and 15 minutes. The music academy is located on Hao Nam Street in the city’s Dong Da District.

12GO ASIA notes that Hanoi is a bastion of culture and major happenings and the flamenco dance show is ample evidence of this. Water puppet shows and the Ca Tru Ha Noi traditional shows are among the flagships of the visual arts scene here.
