Malaysia has strengthened control over taxi drivers

The frequent complaints about unscrupulous taxi drivers became a reason to strengthen control over taxi drivers by The Land Public Transport Commission (SPAD) of Malaysia.

The frequent complaints about unscrupulous taxi drivers became a reason to strengthen control over taxi drivers by The Land Public Transport Commission (SPAD) of Malaysia. During scrutiny in January 2 taxi driver who inflated prices and didn’t use the meter were deprived of a licenses for a month.

The owners of taxi companies were also warned to control their drivers better, because as SPAD chief executive office said, unscrupulous taxi drivers harm the country's image, especially during Visit Malaysia 2014. Passengers are also asked to report each case of fraud on the part of drivers.
