Garuda Indonesia transfers its flights to another Airport

To reduce the functioning capacity of the main Indonesian Airport Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Tangerang the main carrier Garuda Indonesia plans to transfer 10 its flights to the Halim Perdana Kusuma Airport situated in East Jakarta.

To reduce the functioning capacity of the main Indonesian Airport Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Tangerang the main carrier Garuda Indonesia plans to transfer 10 its flights to the Halim Perdana Kusuma Airport situated in East Jakarta. Nevertheless this decision was not approved by the Transport Ministry.

After the getting approval Garuda Indonesia will establish some facilities including executive lounge, proper check-in counters and parking area in the Halim Perdana Kusuma Airport. The flights will be operated from the new airport in 30 days after that.

The routes which will be transfered are unknown now, but it should be the flights with the highest frequency such as Surabaya-Jakarta which serves 18 times a day.
