Countdown to Kuala Lumpur craft beer fest begins

The sixth edition of what is still the only craft beer festival in Malaysia has been scheduled to take place on the first weekend in October. Kuala Lumpur’s Better Beer Festival 2017 will feature a global collection of more than 250 different brews.

The event is scheduled to take place at the White Box and The Square in the Publika Centre of the Malaysian capital city. It will take place on the 6 and 7 October. The organisers, MyBeer, say as attendance figures have soared every year they expect a bumper crowd of 6,000 beer fans to visit.

MyBeer’s Alvin Lim says the beer collection has been culled from 12 different countries. He explained that in addition to local brewers Gold Bar Beer Dining and Paus Beer Bar, offerings from the likes of Tempest Brewing from Scotland, Thailand’s Sandport and Vietnam’s Pasteur Street would be on tap.

12GO ASIA’s travel team says beer lovers should mark the dates of the Better Beer Festival on their calendars. 12GO ASIA offers train, bus and flight tickets to Kuala Lumpur from locations including Singapore, Yangon, Bangkok and Ho Chi Minh City.
