Lifts to provide better access for the disabled have already been installed. An expansion of the domestic and international passenger zones which includes the installation of additional check-in desks kicked off last year and is ongoing.
Other projects to be completed over the next two years are adding two more aircraft parking bays, enlarging the car park and upgrading the security system on the perimeter fence. Once the current round of improvements is complete, AoT says more will be carried out to increase flight handling capacity and a new terminal will be built.
