Two of the entry points are the nation’s principal airports, Phnom Penh and Siem Reap. The other three are the Cham Yeam-Had Lek and the Poipet-Aranyaprathet checkpoints on the border with Thailand and the Bavet-Moc Bai crossing from Vietnam.
Although e-visas are only valid for use at these five entry points they can be used to exit Cambodia via Sihanoukville Airport and any other land border crossing with Thailand, Vietnam and Laos. All Cambodia’s official entry points offer visas-on-arrival.
12GO ASIA explains visas-on-arrival only cost $US30 while the total cost of an e-visa is $US40. The extra charges are for online application and bank card processing fees. The benefit of the e-visa is that it allows visitors to bypass the queues for visas-on-arrival.
