The main Airport of Vietnam needs expansion

 In the recent years the capacity of the main Airport of Vietnam has grown at 15-20%. The largest in the country Tan Son Nhat Airport in Ho Chi Minh City is full of passengers.

In the recent years the capacity of the main Airport of Vietnam has grown at 15-20%. The largest in the country Tan Son Nhat Airport in Ho Chi Minh City is full of passengers in spite of it should happen three years only. Last year the Airport had reached its designed capacity of 20 million passengers.

As the Arport’s Authorities reported, they plan to expand both of passenger terminals such as domestic and international to meet the growing interest to air travels. As it expected after construction the capacity will be 25 million passengers.

In the neighboring province Dong Nai will be also constructed new additional Long Thanh Airport, which should support the main Airport and serve international flights while Tan Son Nhat Airport will operate domestic flights. The construction work will be started next year, up to 2020 year new Airport should have capacity 25 million, up to 2030 – 50 million.
