South Korean mass rapid transit system in Surakarta continues to evolve

With a support of South Korea, which is renowned for its mass transportation system, Surakarta city in Central Java will continue to expand the Batik Solo Trans (BST) mass rapid transit system.

With a support of South Korea, which is renowned for its mass transportation system, Surakarta city in Central Java will continue to expand the Batik Solo Trans (BST) mass rapid transit system. It should help to reduce traffic congestions in the city which have reached up to 50%. At this time only two corridors with 16 buses each are operating the city.

Talks Indonesia with South Korea give hope for the addition of eight more corridors with 175 buses which will serve 270 bus stops. As it expected the launching of new BST corridors will take place in 2015 year.
