Thai Air Asia canceled flights to Nay Pyi Taw in Myanmar

After 27th Southeast Asia Games held in Nay Pyi Taw (Myanmar) it became
apparent that the passengers' demand for Air Asia flights between Bangkok and Nay
Pyi Taw
is not enough to serve this route.

After 27th Southeast Asia Games held in Nay Pyi Taw (Myanmar) it became apparent that the passengers' demand for flights between Bangkok and Nay Pyi Taw is not enough to serve this route. Just one month after launch the popular Thai low-coster Air Asia  decided to cancel the route confirming earlier suspicions about the its potential.

Due to 27th SEA Games which attracted thousands of people, the Bangkok - Nay Pyi Taw flights was full a few times before the event’s opening. After that 180-seat A320 jet served 10 passengers only.

At this time only one Thai carrier Bangkok Airways offers flights between two capitals, they are available five times a week.
