Annual Phuket Kathu Street Festival begins tomorrow

The ninth edition of the annual Kathu Cultural Street Festival is scheduled to take place this weekend. The three-day celebration of the Phuket seaside town’s heritage begins tomorrow evening and features an eclectic range of attractions.

First and foremost are displays and exhibits depicting the culture and traditions of Kathu and western Phuket’s residents. There will be audio-visual shows too while Ekkachai Srivichai will be among the Thai celebs and musical artistes making public appearances at the fest.

Other highlights are the chance of making wishes for fortune and prosperity at colourful Chinese-style shrines and shopping for quality souvenirs and OTOP products. The Kathu Cultural Street Festival runs between the 7 and 9 July 2017 from 17:00 onwards. The venue is across from Kathu Municipal Hall.

Kathu is at the centre of Phuket’s famed beaches and diverse tourist attractions. 12GO ASIA offers the best range of solutions when travelling to Phuket. Our partners include AirAsia, Thai Airways, Nok Air and Bus Express.
