Singapore food fest to launch with gourmet meals at Clifford Square

The 24th edition of Singapore’s annual food fest will kick off with a culinary taster at the Clifford Square Plaza. Two master chefs have been draughted in to inaugurate the fest with the so called STREAT on 14 July.

Willin Low and Malcolm Lee are renowned chefs from Singapore. They will be on hand at the Collyer Quay plaza to oversee the creation of their exclusive versions of traditional Peranakan Malay favourites, Whampoa prawn noodles and Singaporean seafood specials.

In all, diners heading to Clifford Square for STREAT will have three starters and three main courses to choose from plus a selection of deserts to top their meal off with. The price tag for this dining extravaganza is SG$50. Other hawker style stalls in the plaza will offer tastes of Singapore as well as nectar-like drinks.

STREAT runs for two days, the 14 and 15 July, and is part of the larger Singapore Food Festival. This begins on the same day and finishes on the 30 July. Various locations in the city-state will be staging their own adaptations of STREAT. 12GO ASIA offers travel choices from key cities in Southeast Asia to Singapore.
