New expressway will be opened in Vietnam up to the New Year

As investors reported, a 20km section of the expressway from the Eastern Ring Road (Second Ring Road) in District 9 of HCM City to National Highway No 51 in neighbouring Dong Nai Province will be opened on 30 December this year.

As investors reported, a 20km section of the expressway from the Eastern Ring Road (Second Ring Road) in District 9 of HCM City to National Highway No 51 in neighbouring Dong Nai Province will be opened on 30 December this year. It should shorten the path from HCM City to Long Thanh and Vung Tau and ease traffic congestion on National Highway 1A in the Southern Economic Zone.

Permissible speed on the each of eight lines of highway will be between 60-100 km per hour. The transport under 12 seats and buses under two-tonnes will have to pay VND2,000 per km. 

The main investors of this project is Japanese businessmen and Viet Nam Expressway Company.
