Central Ho Chi Minh boulevard to stage al fresco cultural shows

Tomorrow sees the start of a programme of cultural shows on a central boulevard in Ho Chi Minh City. Nguyen Hue Street is the venue for performances of dance, music, theatre and circus acts scheduled to take place on Saturdays and Sundays.

The city’s tourism bureau confirmed that show times will be at 20:00, but will start earlier tomorrow to allow for official inauguration ceremonies. Six stages will be set up for the performances to provide audiences with the eclectic genres of entertainment.

Bui Ta Hoang Vu is the bureau’s director and he explained that Nguyen Hue would be strictly pedestrian only during the shows. He said the long-term aim was to diversify the acts and might add the likes of skateboarding and beatboxing in the future.

The director added that the cultural shows would offer both residents and tourists insights into Vietnamese culture and provide another compelling reason to make a stopover in Ho Chi Minh City. 12GO ASIA offers reliability when making travel reservations for flights, buses and trains to Ho Chi Minh.
