Illuminations launch Hue Imperial Palace at night programme

Lights switched on over the weekend have inaugurated a new era for the historic Imperial Palace in Hue. The lighting system enables tourists to enjoy the ethereal delights of one of the most recognisable tourism attractions in Vietnam away from the heat of the midday sun.

The Hue Monuments Conservation Organisation funded the installation of the lights. A spokesperson for the body, Phan Thanh Hai, noted the illuminations offered the twin bonuses of emphasising the beauty of the monument and giving tourists additional time to explore.

Imperial Palace By Night offers an eclectic programme of entertainment and runs between 19:00 and 22:00. The changing of the guard is scheduled for one-hour intervals and is complemented by the likes of martial arts shows and enactments of the trinh tuong tap khan royal dance.

Imperial Palace By Night will run through until 15 September 2017. Admission tickets cost VND150,000. No Vietnamese travel odyssey is complete without spending a few days in Hue. When looking for tickets to get to Hue, the convenience and low cost of 12GO ASIA’s travel solutions is hard to beat.
