Phuket gears up for Part B of island Bike Week 2017

Phuket Bike Week 2017 is all set to close with a grand finale in Phuket Town on Saturday evening. The hub of the action is the town’s Saphan Hin Park and a full timetable of entertainment ensures there is something for all tastes.

The evening’s schedule kicks off with a big bike convoy through the streets of the town and then a jaunt down to Cape Promthep and back again. Between 17:30 and 19:30 live musicians will be on stage and this will be followed by a short show featuring Miss Phuket Bike personality of the year and speeches given by leading local dignitaries.

Live entertainment will start again at 21:00 and continue through until the witching hour at midnight. Although Saturday’s programme is not the main part of Phuket Bike Week, it is expected to attract similar numbers of bikers and their hogs as the first part did last weekend.

This year’s Phuket Bike Week is the 23rd in a series which regularly pulls in up to 10,000 bikes and 50,000 biking enthusiasts. 12GO ASIA notes that as is the case when any major event takes place in Phuket, transportation options are busy and it is always a good idea to book tickets in advance.
