Ho Chi Minh music boulevard all set for April inauguration

Authorities in Ho Chi Minh City have confirmed the 28 April will see a music themed boulevard stage its debut performances. Music Street will operate on a trial basis on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays on the centrally located Alexandre De Rhodes Street.

The District 1 thoroughfare near Reunification Palace will be transformed into a pedestrian precinct on the three days and split into two halves. One half will be dedicated to buskers and live bands playing everything from classical and folk to modern genres. The plan notes that seven portable stages will be set up each weekend.

The other half of Alexandre De Rhodes, the quiet end, will feature stalls selling musical paraphernalia, CDs, old records and music collectibles and ephemera. Dining is very much a part of the Vietnam experience and Music Street will not disappoint as it will offer an excellent collection of food outlets and eating zones.

Music Street will open between 09:00 and 22:00 on its operating days and will add another enticement to include Ho Chi Minh City on Southeast Asia travel odysseys. 12GO ASIA is the way to go when booking tickets for travel. Reliability, ease of use and low prices ensure travellers are never disappointed.
