Ministry officials met with Cambodia Bus Association representatives on Monday to work out a deal. Mr Chankosal said the bus companies were asked to help the Cambodian people to travel to their home provinces without the added burden of paying inflated prices to get there.

Cambodia Bus Association director Chem Chomnan echoed Mr Chankosal sentiments and claimed those outside the ministry’s jurisdiction always raised prices at peak holiday times.
