Jersey based advisors take control of Thailand privilege visa promotion

A Jersey based citizenship advisory firm has confirmed its appointment as the official promoter of Thailand’s long-stay visa programme. Henley & Partners explained in a briefing on the company’s website that the privilege visa was a global first and could be used by tourists to live in Thailand for 20 years.

The statement noted that as well as the preferential visas, membership came with a whole host of VIP add-ons. Dominic Volek is Henley’s head of operations for Southeast Asia and he says the firm will be collaborating with Thailand Privilege Card in promoting the card.

Privilege Card is owned by the national tourism bureau and offers three membership tiers: Elite Easy Access, Elite Privilege Access and Elite Ultimate Privilege. These give visas of five, ten and twenty years respectively at a cost of THB500,000 for each five year period.

The Privilege Card is the up-to-date version of the Elite card originally launched by the Thai government in 2003. 12GO ASIA notes that one of the benefits of Elite membership is complimentary airport transfers. 12GO ASIA provides reservations services for flights to Thailand from all major cities in Southeast Asia.
