New Bangkok gem museum confirms show times

The recently opened Bangkok Siamgems Heritage Centre has confirmed schedules for stone-cutting and gem appreciation shows. The shows operate at half-hourly intervals between 12:00 and 16:30 with the final one beginning at 16:00.

Siamgems Heritage opened in February and is a unique facility dedicated to Thailand’s traditional gem-cutting industry and the stones typically found in the country and its neighbours. The first of the four galleries at the facility is themed on prehistoric gems and the beads and other trinkets typically used in ancient times before the advent of money.

The other three chambers are the Siamese ruby Tiara of the Lady, Reflections and the Chamber of Virtue. The latter gives illuminating insights into the gemstones Thai people think bring good fortune while Reflections is the artisans’ studio. A cinema, Siamgems Sphere, showcases the art of jewellery making.

The Siamgems Heritage Centre is located on Pradithmanutham Road and close to the Ram Inthra Tawandang German Brewery. The centre is a welcome addition to Bangkok’s peerless tourism attractions. People travelling in and out of Bangkok will find 12GO ASIA’s travel solutions portfolio the best there is.
