New Friendship Bridge to be opened between Thailand and Laos

The fourth Thailand-Laos Friendship Bridge will be opened as early on 11 December. It should become a turning point in the history of Thai-Laos and Thai-China relations.

The fourth Thailand-Laos Friendship Bridge will be opened as early on 11 December. It should become a turning point in the history of Thai-Laos and Thai-China relations. The bridge will connect Thai city Chiang Khong in northern Chiang Rai province with Huay Xai city in LaosBokeo province, which located on the opposite sides of the great Mekong river.

The bridge will forever change the life of the region. It will promote trade and passenger transportation. The number of Chinese travelers in Laos and Thailand will be increased considerably and transportation to South China will become easier. Now the construction of the road from Thailand to China through Laos is in progress.
