15,000 members of the Thai Airways union are ready to join the Thai opposition if the force will be applied at antigovernment rallies. As president of the Thai Airways Labour International Union, Damrong Waikanee said all of the members will on strike if it will happen.
Thai opposition demands resignation of the Prime Minister and the overthrow of the “Thaksin Regime”. A coalition of 45 labour unions with more than 200,000 members is also asked to join the antigovernment movement. 50% of unions are state organization whose antigovernment activity will negatively affect the functioning of the country.
