It seems that the Government of Vietnam had lost any hope to increase safety on the roads. 26 people die and 81 are injured there every day as a result of traffic accidents. Drivers of motorbikes usually become a culprit of accidents and victims also.
As Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc reported, the Government plans to ban driving motorbikes at the big cities of the country. The officials are sure that by this way they will reduce the number of fatal accidents and will promote the improvement of the environment.
However before introducing new prohibition they should worry about public transport, because now about 90% of Vietnamese drive motorbikes.
