In spite of The Chao Phraya Express boat Co. Ltd.’ appeal to the Government of Thailand asking to increase fares of river boats by 2 baht the proposal was rejected. One of the most comfortable and cheap transport in Bangkok will remain as accessible.

The prices on boats in the Chao Praya river have not been changed since 2008 year, so now the minimum wage which was increased last year is not enough. The Chao Phraya Express boat Co. Ltd. plans to introduce the same fares for all boat routes as much as 10 baht. The government might cover any losses suffered.
