THAI Airways International Plc will provide WiFi on it’s flights from September this year. NBTC will allow THAI to proceed with its plan to offer 2.4-gigahertz Wi-Fi for passengers.

Thai Airways International Plc will provide WiFi on it’s flights from September this year.

The National Broadcasting and Telecommunication Commission (NBTC) approves of THAI application for submitting wireless broadband internet which was filed two years ago. According to Jesada Sivaraks, NBTC’s secretary-general, Commission will allow THAI to proceed with its plan to offer 2.4-gigahertz Wi-Fi for passengers.

On receipt the licence THAI will select a Wi-Fi operator from two currently available – On Air from Switzerland and Air Mobile from the United Kingdom.
