Road upgrade between Thailand and Laos to be completed next year

As unknown official reported to The Vientiane Times, restoration work on the road connecting Loei province in Thailand with Luang Prabang, the second city in Laos, would be finished up the Laos New Year, which hold in April.

As unknown official reported to The Vientiane Times, restoration work on the road connecting Loei province in Thailand with Luang Prabang, the second city in Laos, would be finished up the Laos New Year, which hold in April.

The total cost of the project including the renovation of bridges, is 718 million baht,  80% of it were invested by South Korea.

The upgrade of 367km road is one part of the transport network improvement plan in the Greater Mekong Region. At this moment only 62km of the road are paved.
