As the operator of Chao Praya boat service from Bangkok reported, the water level in the river threatens with its temporary closing. Now Chao Phraya Express Boat Co staff is monitoring the situation and work jointly with the Royal Irrigation Department.
In case of unforeseen situations all of the boats are supplied with life-jackets and other safety equipment. Drivers were asked by the service’s director to limit speed to 25km/h.
It is expected that the Chao Praya river will reach the highest water level of this year in 15-16 October. If it will be too high, boat service will be stoped without delay to to ensure passengers safety.
