Myanmar Airways International (MAI) announced the launching first scheduled flights to Tokyo in Japan which would replace monthly charters.
MAI plans to start flights to the Ibaraki Airport in 85 km from Tokyo in December this year. Earlier the airline offered just charter flights to Tokyo, Osaka, Fukuoka and Okinawa since 27 April 2013 year.
New scheduled flights are oriented to Japanese investors and tourists interested in only recently opened Myanmar after a long time under military regime.
