Singapore to Ipoh flights will operate every Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday with the outbound service taking off from Singapore Changi Airport at 16:00. Arrival time in Ipoh is 17:20. The return flight departs at 18:00 and lands back at Changi at 19:20.
Tigerair is utilising its fleet of 180-seat Airbus A320s to service the route. Tigerair still needs to obtain an official sanction for the route from the relevant aviation bureaus in both locations. Once this has been approved, the carrier’s CEO says tickets will be on sale from 20 April onwards.
Commenting on the forthcoming launch, CEO Lee Lik Hsin stated Tigerair was thrilled to be adding Ipoh to its ever-expanding flight options. He continued by saying the carrier already served several Malaysian airports and Ipoh was the ideal complement to them. Tigerair currently flies from Changi to Kuala Lumpur, Penang and Langkawi Island.
