We booked a ticket for 19:30, the staff contacted and said the bus was leaving at 19, ok. Then they contacted again and said they were going to pick us up at 18:30... That's an hour before the time we booked. The trip was fairly comfortable, but we had picked that time because it said the bus arrived at Halong at 5:30am, and we were dropped off at 3am, VERY far away from the center or anywhere basically with just one taxi there that charged us a ton of money to get us to some hotel.

I booked a trip leaving at noon. Then I received a message that the bus would leave at 12:45. We were told to meet the bus down a side street, but we made several stops at hotels to pick other passengers up. Also made several stops to pick up/deliver local packages.

Picked up on time but dropped off 1hr behind schedule. No communication during the trip as to how long the bus > ferry > bus would take. Not uncomfortable.
