Плюсы путешествия на автобусе
- Автобус – лучший вариант, чтобы добраться до локаций, которые не связаны жд веткой или авиасообщением. Автобусная сеть часто охватывает всю страну, а маршруты давно сформированы и обкатаны.
- В отличие от авиаперелетов и иногда – жд поездок приезжать на автостанцию сильно заранее необходимости нет. Регистрация, даже на международных автобусных рейсах, как правило, не занимает много времени. Допуски по багажу тоже весьма и весьма приятные, а если лимиты на вес багажа все-таки установлены, то доплата за перевес почти всегда совсем невысокая.
- Билеты на автобус обычно более доступны, чем билеты на самолет или скорый поезд. Разнообразие классов и тарифов ориентировано на любой кошелек. Самые дешевые варианты, возможно, не самый быстрый способ прибыть в пункт назначения, но свою работу автобусы в любом случае делают. На более длинных маршрутах есть либо туалеты в салоне, либо остановки, билет включает снеки, воду, иногда туалетные принадлежности, одеяла и прочие полезные и приятные вещи.
- Если вы готовы потратить чуть больше, то некоторые ВИПы по комфорту и обслуживанию могут вполне соперничать с бизнес-классом на самолетах: широкие мягкие раскладывающиеся кресла, одеяла, меньшее, по сравнению с обычными автобусами, число пассажиров и прочие бонусы очень скрашивают впечатления от поездки.
Минусы путешествия на автобусе
- Новые междугородние автобусные терминалы нередко расположены на окраине города у оживленных шоссе, чтобы автобусы не вставали в городские пробки. Для путешественника в этом не только плюс, но и минус. Добираться до таких терминалов бывает непросто или долго, плюс в некоторых локациях обслуживать терминалы разрешается не любому транспорту – т.е. даже некоторые службы такси туда не допускают. Как результат – спекулятивные цены на перевозку. Если нужно выезжать в часы-пик, не забывайте заложить дополнительное время на поездку.
- Автобус, наверное, вид транспорта, который наиболее подвержен задержкам и нарушению расписания – если сравнивать с самолетами или поездами. Причин может быть великое множество – от ДТП до ремонта дороги, объезда и т.д. Ситуация ухудшается в дни государственных праздников, длинные выходные, высокий сезон. Учитывайте этот момент и не планируйте коротких стыковок.
- Если вы планируете поездку по одному из наиболее востребованных маршрутов и/или в высокий сезон, стоит озаботиться заблаговременным бронированием билетов. Учитывайте, что просто прийти на автовокзал и уехать ближайшим рейсом возможно далеко не всегда: билеты вполне могут быть распроданы, так что планируйте заранее.

2 Plätze unten hinter dem Fahrer sind optimal. Viel Platz. Warme Sachen zum Anziehen nicht vergessen. Düsen für die Aircondition lassen sich nicht komplett schließen. 2 oder 3 Stops unterwegs sind ausreichend. Lunchpaket kann man vergessen...

Very comfortable and roomy seats. They recline very far for sleeping. Noisy so bring earplugs. Good service but the snacks are all sugar so many people cannot eat them. I am afraid many are wasted and thrown in the trash adding to Thailand’s trash problem. Good driver and attendants. I would use again but bring my own food. Thank you.

3列シートでリクライニングも大きく倒れるので、快適でした。ルーイには予定時刻より早い5時に付きました。席まで来て起こしてくれました。
ブランケットもありますが、タイのバスは全般的に寒いので1枚余計に羽織るか持っていった方がいいでしょう。

+ : Safe driving, on time, easy booking on 12go and smooth process /// - : Less comfortable than expected and hard to get a good sleep. A lot of light and frequent stops. I slept bad and arrived tired. The driver collects 40 BHT at the end if you want to stop at the border instead of the bus station in town ; which would be cheaper than transportation from the bus station to the border but this looks quite informal. The meal was just junk food, eat something before if you book this bus. /// If you go to Vientiane : keep 20 BHT fo the bus on the bridge. Then just after the tuk-tuk drivers there are white-green buses that go to the center for 8,000 KIP.

Seats were really comfy, and they reclined almost all the way back. Drive was smooth and the driver stopped a few times to have a break for 10 minutes, which I think was really good because there's no way he should have to drive 12 hours straight. Didn't sleep much but that's no reflection on the journey.

Driver was very safe. Seats were much more comfortable than an airplane.
But, the so-called dinner was a bagful of processed sugar junk food. Really revolting and an insult to good health.
For such a long trip, a hot meal should be the norm: rice, vegetables, noodles, etc.

The bus seat was slightly uncomfortable, but nothing major. The driving was good and safe, water, food, blanket was provided. No socket to charge your phone through though. The driver collected an extra 40 baht from everyone at the end, I don't know why since I don't speak Thai. I didn't pay but all the Thai passengers did.

Chiang Mai to Laos - Nongkhai (Border) - very comfortable Bus with much free room for sleeping.

This was the first good overnight bus I have taken in Asia! The bus is set up with reclining seats so rather than sharing a tiny bed with some stranger, like all of the other overnight buses in Asia, you have your own space.
To top it off the bus actually left and arrived on time! Amazing

Énormément d arrêts sur la route, mais pas forcément pour vous laisser le temps de vous dégourdir les jambes ou vous restaurer avec autre chose que la maigre et tres mauvaise collation (uniquement des friandises sucrées). N hésitez donc pas à vous restaurer au préalable. Ces multiples arrêts (entre 20 et 30) rendent par la force des choses votre trajet plus long mais pas moins penible.

29.01.2019. Un autobús muy cómodo y amplio en comparación con los que he tomado hasta ahora. Te dan agua y dulces para desayunar. Fuimos desde Chiang Mai hasta Nong Khai. 100% recomendable.

We left on time and arrived early. The bus was older but in good condition. Three across seating with a very good recline and a footrest and I slept well. Blankets provided came in a sealed bag and seemed to be clean but bring a jacket as well as it does get cold. The driver drove at a sensible speed and did not appear to take risks. Would use this service again.

Overall comfortable trip. The only thing that wasn't fully perfect is the fact that first floor of the bus had a bit of a bad smell coming from the toilet.

Overall very nice trip! The seats are super comfortable and spacious. The only thing that I was missing were the 5minute stops along the way to stretch out legs. We had none. Also it was quite cold in the bus because of the sting AC. The food package given at the beginning of the trip was awesome. Overall very enjoyable experience.

On my way from Chiang mai to nongkhai we had a different bus. T was green. That bus was amazing. I had forgot to assign my seat so you automatically assigned the 1C which was sitting on topnof a TV. It was horrible. Nobody in advanced would allow me to get a new seat thank god some other lady gave me her ticket so I could move. There was plenty of room, and I slept better than ever. But the way back was a slice of hell. The seat did not totally recline and my feet could not go forward they were smashed into the front of the bus. It was AN ICE BOX and I was not able to sleep properly. The worst part was I was woken up TWICE gasping for my life because the bus driver was slamming on his breaks around the bend! He was driving far too fast on curvy roads and if I wake up from sleeping that should tell you something. I seriously wonder if they screen these drivers for drugs and alcohol beforehand. On some of the curves where there yellow and orange flags, he would SPEED UP instead of slow down. I felt he didn't know the route either. Once I saw how fast he was going I had a hard time falling back asleep. Of course this is at 1-2am so all people are sleeping and didn't see. But I saw. If you would have given me the first bus again I would have taken this company again. But I'll try to avoid in the future seeing how horrible it was on the way back and I was afraid of dying.

The ride was fine. The crew was ok, but they like to smoke by the door. We booked out the entire bottom section of the bus and that was the one place I guess it costs extra to cool because I had to ask about 8 times to get the air turned on because I had kids and and infant who were sweating. Doubt I’ll use this route again.....

We departed on time and met some nice travellers on the bus. We were given a goody bag with some biscuits and a Thai tea ect, and we had lots of leg room.
A few things that could be improved on was my tray for putting food on was broken, the description mentioned a meal onboard and a tv. There was a tv on board but not turned on.
I think this trip was good value for money but travellers should bring food, own entertainment and bring a hoody as a/c is cold!

Everything was quite good. The bus was not a new one, but still good. We departed according to the schedule, each passenger received so called lunch box: green Thai tea, soy milk, some bakery and cookies, bottle of water. Also a blanket. But in a bus it was so fucking frizzing! So be ready and take pants and socks with you as well as a coat.

Nice trip. They gave us some launch box with biscuits water and Thai tea just after depature. We arrived 20 min earlier than scheduled. Personal was frendly. Only some stops due the travel. Take warm clothes with you it is cold at night. They gave us a blanket to get warm.

The bus ride was uneventful, which I think is a good sign. The seats were pretty comfortable, but I wish they had provided a small pillow because the neck/headrest thing was hard to get comfortable with. They provided a nice blanket (absolutely necessary because the A/C was at max), but didn't provide a meal. Instead of a meal they gave a gift bag of sorts with a small milk, small Thai tea, pork-filled bun, and a few cookies.
The reason I've docked a star is because the bus left 30 minutes late and there was no communication about...anything. That and the lack of a pillow or decent headrest.
Overall though, I would definitely take this trip again and recommend it.

Seats which you can lean back with to almost lie (similar to Vietnamese sleeping buses). Got a lunch bag, bus was fully booked, i.e. couldn't switch seats. Arrived five minutes before planned.

For those who complains how uncomfortable a long twelve hours journey can be,forget it.
The bus has comfy seats,they gave me a small pack with cookies,juice,water and sandwich.Also,It took me eleven hours to reach my destination.
I do recommend for those who wants to save money.

For an overnight bus service this was perfectly doable. The seats were comfortable enough to sleep and it was nicely air conditioned. Was not a fan of the choices for snacks though. Some fried rice would have been enough for me.

Exceeded expectation. Wide, reclining, comfy seats. Aircon is chilly but they provide blankets. Snacks and water provided and arrived half an hour early. We slept most of the trip so went fairly quickly :)

Comfortable. They provide blankets and the air con is very good. The chairs recline a decent amount but obviously you have to respect the person sitting behind you. We got given a bunch of snacks and water which was a nice touch.
