Operator was there before 6AM but the van didn't leave the terminal on time (6:20AM instead of 6:00AM) but were able to go to Ayutthaya ahead of the 7:30 estimated time of arrival.

Left on time. Mini van, A/C was working. Not much space for legs. Overall everything was fine.

The overall trip was quite good. As a foreigner, it was fairly easy to navigate and people were available to ensure we arrived at the right spot. The bus departed 45 minutes late which was okay for us, but you may want to keep this in mind if you need to arrive on a strict time.

Basically you show the ticket boot at the bus station your booking PDF, and they will direct you to a staff who will then lead you to the mini-bus parked somewhere.

The return trip was disappointing. I purchased a ticket in the 2nd class AC car but when boarding the train, they made everyone go onto the 3rd class car and remain standing for most of the trip. This was very unexpected. I think I should be refunded the difference. What happened? Why was I not allowed to sit in the seat I purchased? I’ve never had this happen on a train before.

It was easy to purchase the train tickets to Ayutthaya. Once i paid for them, I immediately received an email confirmation with the e-ticket, which i used on my phone. It was very convenient.

The trip was not comfortable. seats are very narrow and no space for legs if you are > 180cm. But the trip is budget price. Trip took 90 min. But be aware that the bus leaves 30 minutes before booked time so be there 45 min before. This is also not convenient if you are delayed to get to the mini bus station.

Please ask to Thai Railways to turn down the air conditioning!!!!!!! The carriages are a fridge!
