Tentang Vietnam Railways
Maklumat Syarikat
Vietnam Railways (VNR) merupakan pengendali kereta api kebangsaan Vietnam. Vietnam Railways mengendalikan laluan utama negara iaitu Reunification Line (Laluan Penyatuan) sepanjang 1,600km, yang juga dikenali sebagai kereta api Ekspres Utara-Selatan Vietnam, serta laluan-laluan sampingan merentas negara yang lain seperti laluan Lao Cai dan Haiphong.
Laluan utama ini menghubungkan dua bandar terbesar Vietnam iaitu Hanoi dan Bandar Ho Chi Minh (HCMC). Laluan Penyatuan ini siap pada tahun 1936, namun perkhidmatannya terhenti pada tahun 1954 akibat perang yang membahagikan negara tersebut. Perkhidmatan dari Hanoi ke HCMC hanya dapat disambung semula sepenuhnya pada tahun 1976.
Sila ambil maklum bahawa sesetengah kereta api VNR mempunyai gerabak yang ditempah oleh pengendali pengangkutan swasta, yang lebih dikenali sebagai kereta api mewah.
Sistem dan Laluan Popular Kereta Api Vietnam
Kereta api di Vietnam merupakan cara yang murah, mudah dan selesa untuk mengembara ke seluruh negara. Laluan utama kereta api di Vietnam mengunjur dari utara ke selatan. Hampir semua destinasi pelancongan utama terletak di sepanjang atau berdekatan dengan Laluan Penyatuan, memudahkan anda untuk ke mana-mana sahaja di Vietnam dengan menaiki kereta api.
Sebab utama untuk memilih kereta api di Vietnam:
- Menaiki kereta api waktu malam menjimatkan masa siang percutian serta kos penginapan anda
- Pemandangan dari tingkap gerabak, sama ada di bandar atau luar bandar, adalah sangat indah dan memberikan gambaran sebenar tentang kehidupan tempatan
- Vietnam mempunyai rangkaian stesen kereta api yang meluas. Anda boleh menjelajah ke hampir mana-mana lokasi
- Perjalanan kereta api ialah suatu pengalaman wajib bagi sesiapa yang melawat Vietnam
Berikut merupakan beberapa perjalanan kereta api paling popular di Vietnam:
Reunification Line (Laluan Penyatuan)
Perjalanan kereta api epik Hanoi–Bandar Ho Chi Minh dan Saigon–Hanoi mengambil masa sekitar 33 jam.
Hentian paling popular di sepanjang laluan ini termasuklah:
- Vinh
- Hue
- Danang (for Hoi An)
- Nha Trang
- Binh Thuan (untuk Phan Thiet dan Mui Ne)
Hanoi–Lao Cai
Ini boleh dikatakan laluan kereta api Vietnam paling popular dalam kalangan pelancong antarabangsa. Laluan ini membawa anda ke Lao Cai, stesen kereta api terdekat dengan stesen atas bukit di Sapa. Bandar Sapa tidak mempunyai stesen kereta api sendiri. Pelawat akan turun di Lao Cai dan menaiki bas atau teksi sejauh 40 km ke Sapa.
Perjalanan dari Hanoi ke Lao Cai mengambil masa sekitar 9 jam.
Hanoi–Haiphong
Untuk perjalanan ke Teluk Ha Long dan Pulau Cat Ba, anda boleh menaiki kereta api Hanoi ke Hai Phong yang mengambil masa sekitar tiga jam.
Jadual Waktu Kereta Api Vietnam
Terdapat sekurang-kurangnya 6 buah kereta api yang beroperasi di Laluan Penyatuan setiap hari, dengan jadual waktu tambahan semasa musim kemuncak seperti festival Tet (Tahun Baru Vietnam) pada bulan Januari dan Februari.
Kereta api nombor ganjil bergerak dari utara ke selatan, manakala nombor genap adalah untuk arah bertentangan.
Untuk keselesaan terbaik, pilihlah kereta api SE1, SE2, SE3 dan SE4, iaitu kereta api terbaik di Vietnam yang berpendingin hawa, dengan sleeper lembut dan keras.
Kelas dalam Kereta Api Vietnam
Terdapat pelbagai kelas tempat tidur dan tempat duduk untuk semua perjalanan. Anda boleh memilih sama ada anda inginkan tempat tidur atau tempat duduk, dengan pendingin hawa ataupun tidak.
Vietnam tidak mempunyai ‘kereta api pelancong’ yang khusus. Kebiasaannya, istilah itu merujuk pada gerabak mewah peribadi yang ditambah pada kereta api standard Vietnam Railways dalam perjalanan tertentu, seperti dari Hanoi ke Sapa atau Hanoi ke Da Nang.
Pilihan terbaik untuk perjalanan jarak jauh di Vietnam ialah kereta api sleeper. Kereta api ini boleh jadi kereta api siang atau malam.
- Kereta api sleeper kelas pertama di Vietnam digelar ‘soft-sleeper’. Ada dua variasi: Soft-sleeper VIP dengan kompartmen 2 tempat tidur serta soft-sleeper biasa dengan tujuh kompartmen 4 tempat tidur, iaitu 2 tempat tidur atas dan 2 di bawah. Kesemuanya berpendingin hawa dan dijadikan kereta api 5 bintang beberapa tahun lepas.
- Sleeper kelas kedua dipanggil hard-sleeper. Pilihan bajet untuk bermalam. Setiap kompartmen mempunyai 6 katil iaitu 2 tempat tidur bawah, 2 tempat tidur tengah serta 2 tempat tidur atas. Juga dilengkapi pendingin hawa.
- Tempat Duduk
Datang dengan tiga variasi:
- AC soft seats (tempat duduk lembut dengan pendingin hawa) sesuai untuk perjalanan waktu pagi seperti dari Da Nang ke Hue.
- AC hard seats (tempat duduk kayu) yang mungkin tidak sesuai untuk perjalanan lebih jauh, tetapi sempurna untuk perjalanan singkat.
- Hard seats biasa sama seperti pilihan sebelumnya, tetapi tiada pendingin hawa. Tingkap boleh dibuka di sepanjang jalan untuk menikmati pemandangan dan udara segar.
Tiket Vietnam Railway
Tempahan tiket Vietnam boleh dibeli secara dalam talian atau di mana-mana stesen kereta api di negara itu.
Vietnam Railways dibuka 60 hingga 90 hari sebelum tarikh perlepasan. Anda amat disyorkan untuk menempah awal bagi perjalanan jauh atau jika mahukan tarikh khusus dalam soft atau hard sleeper.
Tiada tiket tarikh terbuka. Anda perlu tetapkan tarikh dan laluan untuk setiap bahagian perjalanan.
Harga tiket adalah sama untuk penduduk tempatan dan warga asing. Tiada dasar dwiharga.
Bagi tempahan dalam talian, anda mempunyai beberapa pilihan termasuklah membeli terus dalam laman sesawang Vietnam Railways. Kesukarannya ialah hanya kad kredit tempatan sahaja diterima, jadi jika anda tiada kad kredit sebegitu, anda tidak dapat membuat pembayaran.

Kelebihan
- Kedua-dua kereta api waktu pagi dan semalaman di Vietnam adalah lebih menyenangkan dan selesa untuk mengembara di Vietnam berbanding bas.
- Nilai wang yang sangat baik. Harga kereta api Vietnam sangat rendah. Tiada cara lain untuk mengembara dari Hanoi ke Saigon dengan harga kurang daripada 1 juta dong.
- Kereta api di Vietnam adalah agak selesa. Majoritinya ditambah baik beberapa tahun lepas dan sekarang mempunyai standard yang amat baik.
- Makanan tradisional yang dijual di dalam kereta api sangat lazat dan menjadi sebahagian pengalaman kembara anda.
- Terdapat port pengecas peranti di dalam gerabak.
- Kanak-kanak bawah umur empat tahun boleh mengembara secara percuma, manakala kanak-kanak berumur antara lima hingga sembilan tahun mendapat potongan harga tambang sebanyak 25%.
Kekurangan
- Kelewatan sering berlaku dan perjalanan biasanya panjang dan perlahan. Sila ambil kira hal ini ketika merancang perjalanan.
- Suhu pendingin hawa kadangkala tidak konsisten (terlalu sejuk atau panas).
- Kebersihan gerabak, terutamanya tandas, kadangkala menjadi isu, walaupun telah banyak bertambah baik.
- Perhatikan kain cadar jika anda menaiki kereta api di pertengahan jalan di antara Hanoi dengan Ho Chi Minh, kerana cadar mungkin tidak ditukar setelah digunakan oleh pengembara sebelum anda.
- Tiada pengumuman rasmi semasa tiba di stesen. Anda perlu sentiasa peka dengan waktu ketibaan atau menetapkan penggera sendiri.

Der Zug fuhr pünktlich los und kam pünktlich an ! Ansonsten war alles wie erwartet, Sauberkeit war ok, es gab saubere Toiletten.
Es darf im Zug geraucht werden, dementsprechend riecht es. Zum Ende der Fahrt lief eine Kakerlake über mein Bett. Wenig Platz für Gepäck. Hilfsbereite Schaffner. Preis - Leistung absolut ok !

Wir hatten mit unseren 2 kleinen Kindern ein Viererabteil für uns alleine und die Nacht war durchaus okay. Die Betten sind etwas hart, aber okay das Essen vor Ort im Zug war super und alles lief problemlos ab. Also auch für Familien mit Kindern geeignet.

Der Zug holte uns 30 Minuten später als geplant ab, war danach aber pünktlich im Zielbahnhof.
Das WC ist nicht wirklich sauber, die Lacken und Kissenbezüge waren feucht vermutlich von vorherigen Gästen und die Matratzen sind bockhart. Mein Ziel war es schlafen zu können das kriegte ich hin auch wenn im Gang eine Verkäuferin lautstark ihren Kaffee und Bier verkaufen wollte.

After we double checked for the train with the vnr Lady, she informed us that train has 20 min. delay. Which was not a problem and gave us time for an other coffee ;-)
Seats were average. Staff on train was friendly and checked with us where we are going and came to us to let us know that next station is our stop.
Everything went smooth and easy.
Toilet were not too bad, bring your own TP and maybe sanitizer.

Wir hatten ein etwas modernere Abteil erwartet aber es war alles da und es hatte einen gewissen Charme. Die Fahrt war sehr entspannt und keineswegs anstrengend. Die Klimaanlage blies die ganze Nacht und es wurde recht kalt. Eine leichte Jacke ist nicht verkehrt. Es laufen ei ige Verkäufer durch und bieten viele Dinge an. Als Vegetarier sollte man sich etwas mitnehmen. Evtl. fertige Suppen. Aufgießen mit heißen Wasser ging im Zug. Es war eine abenteuerliche Reise und zu empfehlen. Das Bett war ok aber recht hart. 1.klasse Sleeper

Die Fahrt hat uns großen Spaß gemacht.
Man sieht die Landschaft, die Dörfer und die Leute auf den Feldern. Wir hatten Zeit zum Karten spielen und haben gut geschlafen (Ohrenstöpsel mitbringen!).
Wir mussten aufgrund eines Erdrutsches ein Stück Strecke mit dem Bus zurücklegen, aber die Bahn hat Busse gestellt und alles lief gut ab. Dadurch kam es zu ~2h Verspätung mit 19h statt 17h Fahrzeit.
Alles in allem so gut wie erwartet und wir fahren das nächste Stück durch Vietnam auch wieder Nachtzug.

If you’re looking for an excuse to upgrade your sleeper, this is is. The trip gets an overall 2 stars because it was clean and it left and arrived on time. But that’s sadly where the good times ended for us. Our seats had been changed and that wasn’t communicated well enough to the guys onboarding us, so we walked from section to section hoping for help. By the times we got to our bed we were questioned a few times, but thankfully not kicked off. We had someone either leave or arrive at every stop which was very disruptive. My least favourite was the drunk who literally stumbled in and collapsed on his bed. Then the door wouldn’t stay closed, so we unfortunately had it open all night. Really wishing I’d just paid the extra for a private 2 bed room to avoid all the disruptions.

It's a loud train and felt incredibly disgusting. I took another train with another company after and it was much better.
While the toilet was being cleaned throughout the nice, it didn't feel clean at all at any stage.
That said, the welcoming thing was the view and the boiling water tap, which allowed me to heat some noodles I purchased at the train station.
The bed was firm and the train was loud and rickety so please bring ear plugs.

Man kann nur jedem empfehlen, eine Reise im Hanoi -Saigon-Express zu machen. Unsere Wagons waren alt, aber sauber. Klimaanlage funktioniert. Wir waren am Tag unterwegs und haben daher keinen Schlafwagen gebucht. War ein ordentlicher Ledersitz. Bisschen schade war, daß die Fenster vermutlich durch die vorangegangene Nachtfahrt kondensiert und dann abgelaufen sind. Schwierig zu fotografieren. Teilweise kann man die Fenster im oberen Bereich öffnen. Ich habe den Zugbegleiter gefragt. Fenster auf und dann Video gedreht. Selbst im Inneren der Lok durfte ich fotografieren. Einfach auch Fahrgäste fragen, wenn man etwas möchte. Das Wort "Nein" kennen sie in Vietnam nicht. Verpflegung wird im Stundentakt an den Platz gebracht. Heißes Wasser kommt aus dem Kessel. Kleiner Tipp noch bei der Anfahrt auf Ho Chi Minh City. In Fahrtrichtung linke Seite gibt super Sicht über den Saigon-River auf die Stadt. Ich war auch ein/zwei Stunden im eher rustikalen Speisewagen. Nach zehn Minuten hatten wir eine coole internationale Truppe zusammen. Hat richtig Laune gemacht. Alles in allem klare Empfehlung.

Sänky oikein mukava, juna hieman äänekäs ja hytkyy välillä aika kovaa. Jos olet herkkäuninen niin en usko että saat nukuttua tässä junassa

Olin yläpedissä 4 hengen hytissä ja ilmastointi puhaltaa hieman liian kovalla. Toisaalta mielummin liian kovalla kuin ilmastointia ollenkaan.
Junassa myytiin juomia ja pientä snäkkiä.
Juna oli aikataulussa.

Die Fenster waren so dreckig, dass man fast nicht rausschauen konnte. Die Sitze waren ebenfalls in die Jahre gekommen und fleckig. Es war sehr laut im Wagen, die Einheimischen hörten ständig Musik. Auch einige Tiere waren anwesend, die Leute vor uns hatten ihre angekettete Katze dabei. Wir waren froh, dass die Reise nicht lange dauerte.

Die Fahrt an sich war wirklich in Ordnung. Der Zug ist nicht der neuste, aber die Aussicht von Da Nang nach Hue ist super. Leider haben wir nicht die gebuchten Sitze am Fenster gehabt, da die Sitzordnung im Zug eine andere war als bei der Buchung. Ich konnte nicht einmal neben meinem Freund sitzen, sondern saß neben einer fremden Person

My journey was a 6 berth sleeper from Ninh Binh to DaNang. It was an experience worth doing but I wouldn't rush to do it again - rather I would pay a few dollars extra to go to the nearest airport and fly. On boarding, I had someone in my bunk and had to get them to move. A family of 6 was using 4 bunks and had used most of the floor space with their luggage which included something leaking. The train carriages are old, and it is at times a very rough ride. Happy to say toilets were clean, but they are very small.

Theoretically the train had air con but in reality everyone fell asleep because it was like sitting in the blast from a hairdryer. One window fell open, which pretty much cancelled the frail attempts of the AC, and all the windows were dirty and had grilles over them so it wasn't easy to see outside.

No complaints. No hassle, the people at the station spoke English and informed me ,my train was delayed so I chilled , ate some bananas and spoke with people. Train was comfortable and affordable. Only issue was no charging ports on the trains which can be bad if you don’t have power bank. So bring one !

All in all, a pleasant experience. We were lucky with the neighbors in the compartment. The views from the window were amazing. Cockroaches ran from time to time (but this is Asia, what do you expect). I doubted the cleanliness of bed linen (namely pillowcases and blankets). Due to the AC it was quite cold. Toilet and other stuff was ok for the train. The only thing was that it was quite difficult to sleep, as it shaked very strongly all the time.

Chất lượng ghế ngồi, mua vé, người phục vụ....đã tốt hơn nhiều so với lần trước 5 năm trước đây, có một số góp ý để cải thiện.
Nên có các bảng biểu hay thông báo ở nhiều nơi ở ga, trên toa tàu...đơn giản, dễ hiểu nội quy cho hành khách (và hướng dẫn thoát hiểm khi có sự cố). Chuyến đi của mình từ ga Dĩ An đến Biên Hòa (SPT2, toa 2) có 1 nhóm khách du lịch rất ồn ào cả khi tàu chạy, cười nói lớn giọng, đi lại, đứng choáng lối đi...ảnh hưởng đến người khác.

Nên có nơi để rác trên tàu và nhắc khác không vứt rác xuống sàn.
...
Ở các ga cần có bảng tên ga to và rõ để khách biết, nhất là với khách đi lần đầu, ít khi đi hay khách nước ngoài. Hiện giờ có ga có, có ga không.
...
Nếu có loa trên tàu thông báo tên ga sắp đến để khách biết thì rất tốt (thu âm sẵn tiếng Việt và tiếng Anh) để phát chứ không cần người đọc tại chỗ.

Got from Nha Trang to Da Nang but were delayed an hour. Additionally we couldn't sleep due to the cockroach infestation in our first class cabin, and at 5am several Vietnamese began smoking and eating durian. We had to move up the train to the regular second-class seats which were much more comfortable - sadly no refund is on offer.

It was ok. Unfortunately the ac was so cold, we had to leave our cabin to stand in the corridor most of the time to avoid getting a cold.

Die 1.Klasse, 4er Schlafabteile sind wie erwartet und vorher auf den Bildern abgebildet. Es gab eine USB Ladestelle an jedem Bett. Leider war es während der Fahrt sehr laut und unruhig im Zug was an den Mitreisenden lag. Ich würde bei der nächsten Reise wieder mit dem Zug fahren.

Efficient but basic. There was lots of noise all night and people coming and going etc. hard to get any sleep at all.

The trip was good, A-B on time, good price, reliable and safe.
Don’t expect 1st class, a flushing toilet or a comfortable smell

We had the first class cabin. We were very worried due to the other reviews about cleanliness and the toilet etc. But it was OK. Not great but not horrifying (certainly not how i imagine 1st class to be though). Bed was hard but wide enough. The upper beds dont get access to the desk or to see out of the window so take the lower bunks if you have a choice. The bed sheets are definitley not changed between people. Pray you dont get a man who snores in your cabin.
