バンで旅するメリットとデメリット
メリット
- 大型バスも電車も通っていない辺鄙な場所や小さな町や村に行くには、バンが唯一の手段のケースがあります。
- 大型バスは乗船不可でも、バンなら乗船可能な大型カーフェリーがあります。これらのフェリーを利用すれば、島々へも、バンで行けます。
- 大型バスに比べると車体が小さいため、道中での取り回しが良いです。特に目的地が遠くない場合は、移動時間が短くなることもあります。
- バンには停留所がありますが、停留所ではない場所で降りることも可能です。100%可能とは限りませんが、多くのドライバーは協力してくれるはずです。そうすれば、ターミナルから徒歩やタクシーで降りなければならなかった時間と費用の両方を節約できます。
デメリット
- 多人数乗車の場合、かなり窮屈に感じるかもしれません。足や肘を使うスペースは限られています。一部のバンでは、1枚のチケットで預けられる荷物は1個に制限されています。スーツケースやバックパックなど、荷物が多い場合は、荷物用のチケットを別途購入する必要があり、料金が2倍になります。
- すべてのバンがスケジュール通りに運行されているわけではありません。路線によっては、満席にならないと出発しない場合もあります。チケットを買う前にオペレーターに確認してください。バンが満員になるまで予想以上に長く待つことになるかもしれません。
- 他の交通手段でバンほど無謀なドライバーはいないでしょう。車両に速度制御ユニットを取り付けている会社もありますが、ドライバーが警告を無視し続け、走行中ずっとビープ音を鳴らしているケースは珍しくありません。バンで移動するときは、必ずシートベルトを着用しましょう。時にはシートベルトがどこにあるか、調べる必要があるかもしれません。
- 乗り物酔いしやすい人は、バン旅行の30分前に薬を飲んでおくとよいでしょう（特に、曲がりくねった道を通る場合）。バスよりもバンの方が乗り物酔いしやすいのです。

The driver was excellent—he drove safely and efficiently and was very helpful. We were dropped off at our hotel as agreed. The bus was comfortable. Our advice: check the travel time. you’ll be arriving when Hanoi’s streets are at their busiest. Maybe you get stuck in traffic, just like we did.

The customer service from the local provider, Peaceful Journey, is oustanding. Tracy respnonded quickly and helpfully re my luggage and pick up point issues. The diriver was professional and always had a smile on his face, which must be very difficult after navigating the insane traffic in Hanoi during rush hour!!!

I was contacted by the company the day before to arrange the exact pick up location and time in Pu Luong, and the rest of the journey went smoothly. My only problem is that I was picked up last and the only seat left was in the back row which was super bumpy on the mountain roads. Maybe an advice for the driver to drive a little slower on the mountain roads??

Even though my homestay was very far from the pickup point, they came to pick me up. They responded immediately to my requests by message, with courtesy and kindness. They are fantastic. They are the kind of service that changes your vacation for the better.

At the beginning and during around 1 h 30, i m not sur but I think the driver was too tired for driving, it stopped and he poured water on his head to stay awake, it’s dangerous to start the trip in those conditions

The pick-up was fine even though we had to transfer because the original vehicle had a flat tire. The issue was the driver of the limousine. The roads were wet and he took way too many risks constantly passing the vehicles in front of us, on solid lines, on bridges. An on-coming truck swerved to miss us. Very nerve racking.

Great service, super prompt and very comfortable.
Peaceful Journey was really great at communicating prior to and during travel. We booked our connection pretty late the night before for an early start and their staff contacted us within a few minutes to confirm drop off and pick up points!
Great service overall, highly recommended.

Pick up and drop off were in time. We forget something after drop off and could meet the driver one hour later. That' was really good. But the journey itself was a desaster, because the drivers driving style was more than dangerous. Even for Vietnam. That's not a bit responsible. Espacially with a whole family in board. Also the driver seemed to be sick.

Ci è stato chiesto dal sito 12GO di arrivare con 30 minuti di anticipo e così abbiamo fatto ma non c'era nessuno l'autista è arrivato 5 minuti in anticipo ed è stato molto bravo, in più ci ha accompagnato fino davanti al nostro resort.
