O Burapha
Dvije glavne stvari koje putovanje kombijem čine tako privlačnim su širok izbor odredišta i pristupačne cijene. Ne nude svi kombiji vrhunsku udobnost, dovoljno prostora za noge ili prtljažnik, ali ove dvije točke kompenziraju. Osim toga, uvijek su kombiji ti koji uvode nove rute do odredišta u usponu, utirući put za velike autobusne prijevoznike ako je potrebno ili ostaju jedino prijevozno sredstvo koje vas tamo može dovesti. Vrlo često kombiji nude bržu uslugu od velikih autobusa, fleksibilniji vozni red i lakše se prilagođavaju potrebama putnika u smislu rasporeda – ako postoji privremeni rast potražnje zbog dugih vikenda ili državnih praznika, kombiji dodaju više vozila u svoju dnevnu flotu lakše od drugih operatera. Prednosti putovanja kombijem
- Kombi može biti jedini način da dođete do nekih od najudaljenijih destinacija, manjih gradova ili sela, koja nisu povezana ni velikim autobusima ni vlakovima.
- Kombiji vas mogu odvesti i na neke otoke koji su s kopnom povezani velikim trajektima koji ne voze velike autobuse, ali primaju i kombije.
- Zbog manje veličine u usporedbi s velikim autobusima, kombiji su lakši za manevriranje na cesti. To ponekad rezultira kraćim vremenom putovanja, osobito ako vaše odredište nije daleko.
- Iako kombiji imaju službenu stanicu na ruti, mogu vas iskrcati i na prikladnijem mjestu – nema potrebe ići na terminal, samo pitajte svog vozača. Imajte na umu da to nije uvijek moguće, ali u mnogim slučajevima oni će surađivati. Može vam uštedjeti i vrijeme i novac koji biste inače potrošili odlazeći s terminala pješice ili taksijem.
Nedostaci putovanja kombijem
- Kombiji koji primaju više putnika mogu se činiti prilično skučenim. Očekujte ograničen prostor za noge i laktove. Neki kombiji ograničavaju prtljagu na jednu kartu za jedan komad. Ako imate više torbi, kofera ili ruksaka, možda ćete morati kupiti posebnu kartu za svoju prtljagu, što putovanje čini dvostruko skupljim.
- Ne voze svi kombiji prema rasporedu. Na određenim rutama kombiji kreću samo kada su puni. Provjerite to kod svog operatera prije kupnje karte, inače biste mogli čekati puno dulje od očekivanog dok se kombi ne napuni.
- Ako u nekim drugim prijevoznim sredstvima ima više nesavjesnih vozača nego u kombijima, mi toga nismo svjesni. Neke tvrtke u svoja vozila ugrađuju jedinice za kontrolu brzine, no nije rijedak slučaj da se čuje kako ova jedinica pišti tijekom cijele vožnje, a da vozač na to ne obraća pozornost. - Za one koji su skloni bolesti kretanja, postoji dobar savjet: uzmite lijek pola sata prije putovanja kombijem, osobito ako vaša ruta uključuje zavojite dionice. Veća je vjerojatnost da ćete osjećati mučninu od kretanja ako putujete kombijem nego autobusom.

Mette BOn time. The bus was fine, the driver drove nicely. One break for bathroom visit and snacks which was more than enough. After the ferry we were all asked were we stayed and then all driven to our seperately hotels. Very nice service

Bought the combo ticket because it included transport to the hotel. Im a girl, traveled by myself. Driver dropped me off the bus after the ferry and wouldnt take me 5min/4km to the Serenity resort from the pier because apparently he can can only go right. Was left there at 8pm, pitch dark, nobody there and thank god my resort manager sent a car for me. Was scared and frustrated, so keep that in mind if your hotel is on the east side of the island, they will not honor the “drop off at the hotel” deal.

When I made the booking an insurance was offered. I did not want to buy one so I checked that off.
After having paid I noticed that the insurance was anyhow added and an extra 100 THB charged.
### Finding the meeting place:
--------------------------
I got the instructions that the meeting point is at the Ground Floor (G) at Suvarnabhumi airport. When I was at the place the choice was between Bottom (B) and 1. level. I went first to the B -level, found nothing and asked others. Then I got the info that G -level means 1 -level, where I found the Koh Chang -desk with ease.
### The bus:
--------
1. The space between chairs was not designed for Europeans, I had to sit crosswise with my feet at the aisle. -That was really a painful experience to do for so many hours. Most of my fellow travellers sat on the same way as I did, their feet on the aisle.
2. The shock absorbtion system of the bus was not in order, apparently the absorbers were completely worn out. That made my experience of the travel even worse.
3. No WIFI, toilet or selling of anything were available in the bus.
### The stops: There was one 20 minutes stop during the bus travel. There was only one shop and restaurant available for buying food and drinks. The shop prices were around twice the normal prices, the restaurant prices were not that much over prized.
### The deliverance:
----------------
1. When I made the booking the information given was that I would be delivered to my destination hotel.
When arriving to the island I was told that the bus does not go to the Lonely Beach -destinations and that I must take a taxi and pay extra for that. Of course I was disappointed which I also mentioned to the personnel.
At the bus final stop we were a few passenger left to a mini-lorry-bus to be delivered to our destinations.
There we had to wait for another bus to come which would more passengers to our lorry-bus.
After their arrival we were charged 100 THB each for the “taxi” service. We were eight passengers, so the company got a total of 800 THB extra from us.
2. When I was dropped off the “taxi” it showed that I had to find myself the way to my destination and carry my luggage by myself. After having asked a few people and walked 300 meters and asked again I found my destination.
My understanding of the service received that it is partly a rip off the tourists.

Отправление по расписанию, прибыв на остров, всех развезли по отелям!!!

Roger VActually: the service was very good. Everything to the minute in time, and we were even droppen at the hotel on koh chang with the same minibus.
But. Take care of drinks/food yourselves, there's no service on board, no wifi, no usb-loader. And, and, and; do NOT sit on the seats in the last row; the bus has no shockbreaking that is functional, so every uneveness in the road comes as a real shock, and that for hours and hours. So that's why not more than 3 stars

The bus counter was on the ground floor, also called floor 1. There it seemed that the gates stopped on nr 4 gate-ish on that floor - but I asked some nice and helpful Security staff at a counter there and they pointed me trough the toilets/tunnel.
I had originally pre-booked a minivan bus ticket at 11.00 to koh Chang. But I arrived early and was welcome to switch to the 07.50 big bus without any fee or trouble whatsoever at all. At the mainland port of koh Chang I got off the bus, A helpful lady helped us all. At a counter ,I had to tell my hotel, and got a tiny sticker and a ticket with their writing on my hotel name -and on the other side I was hearded into a minibus and droven to the doorstep of my hotel!

Ater several confusion we finally got car which took us to the hotels.
As we paid the transport from the airport to the hotel why cant we have transport with same car all the way to the hotel including the ferry trip?

Sergejs ZВ 14:00 СТАРТ ИЗ АЭРОПОРТА В 20:00 В гостинице. Развозят до дверей. Остановок не было. Автобус конечно бывалый, но доехали нормально, при возможности садитесь в переднюю часть салона. С зади потряхивает.
Цена обратной дороги при наличии билета ТУДА 550 бат.

Sharon LOn time departure and instructions from airport counter was clear. 2 stops were made. Transport only stop at Kai Bae beach; any stop beyond, transport driver will help to call for taxis. Through their contact, the taxi rate is cheaper.
1 major con: Passenger van is very squeezy! I'm at 1.62m and already has difficulty sitting through an 6-8 hrs journey.
Overall, service from transport company were quite good. Hope future their van will be more spacious for leg space.

Lee NGood trip down, stopped twice for toilet breaks, bit of confusion when got to ferry port, driver said missed ferry and would get 5 o clock one, went to loo and get drink, driver got on 4.30 ferry without us. Got next ferry, driver waiting at ferry point, much to annoyance of all other passengers. Haho but all good in the end.

Fabio CThe bus was on time and for an extra 100 bath per each picked us up directly at the hotel instead of at the meeting point in Klong Son. Overall, the trip was comfortable although the seats are very small and my seat belt could not be fastened as the strap was sewed near the buckle, and as I was seated in front of the handrail that was kind of unsafe. The air con was working fine. The driver was a character, always shouting on the phone. When we got back on the bus after a stop he always counted all the passangers to see if anybody was missing and at the end counted himself too. He was a good entertainment and needed as the trip is very long.

Tang MMini bus departed on time at 11am, there r 2 toilet stops, each stop abt 15 min.
Reach natural pier ferry at 4.25pm and go down from the mini bus take all bags with you take the 45min ferry reached koh Chang at 5.50pm. and there r van will send us direct to our hotel !
The driver are friendly
the mini bus is clean, just the seat I wish it can slightly bigger, I am a 158cm female 50kg and the seat still small to me (゜o゜; the mini bus can fit abt 20pax
