- El autobús es la mejor opción para llegar a lugares a los que no llega el tren o el avión. La red de autobuses cubre prácticamente todo el país, y a menudo las rutas han estado bien establecidas desde hace tiempo.
- A diferencia de los viajes en avión o en tren, cuando se viaja en autobús no es necesario llegar a la estación con mucha anticipación. El check-in, incluso para las rutas internacionales, no toma mucho tiempo. Los límites de equipaje suelen ser bastante convenientes para el viajero, y la tarifa por equipaje extra, si hay límites establecidos, generalmente no es muy alta.
- Los billetes de autobús casi siempre son más económicos que los de avión o tren rápido. Los diferentes tipos de autobús se adaptan a todos los bolsillos. Los autobuses estándar, que son más baratos, pueden ser un poco lentos y no brindar el máximo confort, pero en todo caso son aceptables y te llevarán a tu destino. Para los trayectos más largos, los autobuses casi siempre tienen baño o, si no, hacen paradas para ir al baño, y el precio suele incluir aperitivos, agua y, a veces, artículos de aseo y mantas.

Desventajas de los Viajes en Autobús
- Las nuevas terminales interurbanas de autobuses suelen estar fuera de la ciudad, cerca de grandes autopistas, para evitar la congestión urbana. Esto puede crear dificultades para los viajeros. Llegar a una terminal de este tipo puede ser problemático, ya que en algunas terminales hay restricciones en cuanto a los tipos vehículos que pueden entrar, y hay que utilizar transportistas especiales para llegar allí. Esto podría acarrear mayores costos si los precios están inflados. Calcula tiempo extra si viajas en horas punta, especialmente si no estás familiarizado con la situación del tráfico local.
- Los autobuses son probablemente el medio de transporte que menos se ajusta a los horarios previstos, comparado a los trenes y a los aviones. Los autobuses dependen en gran medida de la situación de las carreteras, que a veces es impredecible (accidentes, obras, desvíos, etc.). El día antes nos contactaron para ver qué que hotel nos hospedabamos, al ser de difícil acceso nos propusieron ubicación a 5 minutos, super profesionales y puntuales, el vehículo cómodo, como a medio camino pararon 20 minutos para ir al WC y ya seguimos viaje hasta el ferry, pudimos bajar del bus para ver el paisaje y nos dejaron en el hotel, todo muy cómodo.

Nous avons voyagé avec la compagne avec la compagnie Cat ba discovery de Hanoi à Cat Ba et de Cat ba à Nin Bimh. Tout s'est parfaitement bien passé ! Les bus sont confortables. Le personnel prévenant. On vient vous chercher et on vous dépose à votre hôtel. Tous les horaires ont été respectés. La compagnie a même accepté d'annuler un trajet que nous avions réservé en double par erreur. Rien à redire.

Der Bus war sehr sauber und relativ neu. Einer der besten in Vietnam. Eine Fusstütze wäre noch ganz praktisch gewesen. Das Personal war sehr nett.
Ein Stern Abzug weil die Abfahrt sich um eine halbe Stunde verzögert hat und wir dann insgesamt eine Stunde später ankamen. In unserem Fall war das nicht so schlimm.

The seats were tiny and theres several stops in Ninh Binh where you can get off. So we showed the guide our hotel adress in order to find out which stop would be closest.... but the guide told us wrong. But besides that an overall good experience, everything clean, the bus picked us up at the hotel and we were (close) on time.

- driver picked us up 30 minutes too late
- driver dropped us in the center of Hanoi without any explanation and there we had to wait 30 minutes again, on the pavement, no chairs, in the hot sun
- new driver picked us up and dropped the whole group at the international airport while we asked him several times to go to the domestic airport. Confronted with his mistake he got angry and told us that it was own mistake. He didn’t speak one word Wnglish, which is weird when you work with tourists.
We almost missed our plane and weren’t happy with the needless stress

Right after the booking they contacted me about the trip. Then, nothing. I received no driver confirm and no van plate confirm. I reached out the night before to find out what time I would be picked up and got no response. Hours later I called and someone answered after about 10 rings. Then the line was silent. Got a message from another WhatsApp number saying they couldn’t contact me because their line was blocked. And then nothing. I asked for driver info they said ok and then nothing. The morning of pickup came and still nothing. Then finally from a third number got van confirm that said I would be picked up in 20 min. He arrived in 3 min. It was so frustrating with lack of communication. Will pick different company next time. There are plenty to choose from.

The service was incredibly well organized. I booked transportation by bus and ferry to Cat Ba. We had a typhoon that caused a shutdown of all ferry services, but I didn’t even notice it because the bus took us directly to a cable car, which we took instead. Another bus was waiting for us on the island.

Overall, the trip was great. The limousine was clean and almost new. The idea of picking up and dropping off in the place each passenger stays is amazing. But the driver rode too fast in Tam Coc. It is not the place to ride fast, was unnecessary and generate peril to the other people who was cycling or walking.

Communication was excellent. We even were taken from our Hotel in Hanoi to our home stay in nihn bihn, no extra cost.
Therefore however the departure and arrival time can differ as multiple stops have to be considered with multiple people going. But the communication is really quick and not a hussle at all.
We even booked the way back again because we were really satisfied and can absolutely recommend!
