Udon Thani to Bangkok Destination Reviews

The train arrived at the destination in time. Friendly service, relatively clean, aircon cool but not too cold, the bunks are big enough even for most europeans and there is a power socket.
Train #26 2nd Class Sleeper AC, Thai Railway (การรถไฟแห่งประเทศไทย), Jun 9, 2023
It was an over night train but not. Sleeper car so not very easy to sleep.
Train #134 2nd Class Fan seats only, Thai Railway (การรถไฟแห่งประเทศไทย), Mar 19, 2023
Good for 3rd Class but better to pay the extra $10 dollars or so and be much more comfortable.
Train #76 Class 3 Fan, Thai Railway (การรถไฟแห่งประเทศไทย), Feb 20, 2023
Wagon very old, very noisy, fans out of order, nothing to do with the photo and explanations when booking on 12 go. Good "typical" side.

Found car and seats with no problems. The Steward was very helpful. The scenery on the way was beautiful. I will use this service again.
Train #76 2nd Class AC seats only, Thai Railway (การรถไฟแห่งประเทศไทย), Aug 9, 2022
It was ok. Unfortunately I had seat 24, the window seat right by the door recess and therefore could not stretch out at all. I am quite tall and nine hours of this had me very stiff and sore by journey end. I wasn't sure if I was permitted to but I did think about transferring to third class. There was room to sit down and stretch the kegs there. The windows aren't particularly clean so not great for viewing and photography.

The bus was great. Very comfortable. My experience with 12go wasn't fantastic. I never got a confirmation ticket, and it led to confusion when I tried to check in for my bus, as my receipt provided only minimal information.
