If you enjoy being treated like cattle, and being ripped off, then this is the company for you. Took the van from Luang Prabang to Nong Khiaw. 16 people cramped into a 14 seater van. Bum was numb in about 10mins with my body squashed against the people either side. The extremely bump ride is not ideal when you are that close to someone else and the dust covers the bags stored on the roof. The ride was advertised 8am-12pm. We arrived at 1:40pm. Our ticket was for us to be dropped at the bus station which was near our hotel. The drive dropped us about 15mins walk away from the bus station, at a tour company instead, and ignored us when we tried to show him our ticket that said drop off was the bus station. He conveniently.... had his friend there to charge us 100,000 kip to take us in his tuk tuk to where we were meant to be dropped off anyway. We talked him down to 80,000kip and on arrival at the hotel we saw that it should only be 50,000kip into town. All in all, a terribly uncomfortable and frustrating experience.

The van made many stops in Luang Prabang for unclear purposes (it wasn't to pick up passengers) and only left Luang Prabang at 10am. Consequently, arrival in Nong Khiaw was 2 hours later than planned.

Even though it did last 10 hours, it was a bit better than my previous 6.5 hour one. Better van and a bit more comfortable, he made a could stops and a food break which was good. But the journey is long and still not great… best of a bad situation I’d say!

We arrived in Nong Khiaw but were not satisfied with the trip. We had booked an SUV and paid a lot of money (140 US$) for it. The photo on 12Go.asia showed a brand new car. Instead, we were transported in a very old van. We did have it to ourselves, but it was far less comfortable, which made a big difference given the poor road conditions. The driver was good, but we would have reached our destination faster with an SUV.

Without warning, a taxi came to pick me up at the hotel. I thought I had to take a tuktuk to get to your terminal. This taxi seemed to be chasing the bus since we traveled for dozens of kilometers before finally stopping a bus and telling me that I had to get on. A few minutes later, I received a call from your supervisor who didn't understand the situation. I wasn't on the right bus and a driver was waiting for me elsewhere. The mess was resolved by staying on that bus until my destination. I still had to pay 200,000 kip for a taxi that dropped me off on the wrong bus.
