Pros
There is a good range of options of vehicles that passengers can choose from to suit a range of budgets.
The standard of all the buses used on routes is generally high so the biggest decision will be to do with the price as well as choosing a departure time which will suit your schedule.
ChokeAnan Tour offers good flexibility when choosing a service to fit into your itinerary as both day and overnight buses are available so there should be an option that suits.
ChokeAnan Tour is one of the most well-established operators along these routes with a huge amount of experience which has helped the company build a strong reputation over the years. As a result, the operator is popular with tourists and locals and remains a reliable option.
The service connecting Bangkok and Suratthani is a popular route as it is very easy to visit some of the country’s most beautiful islands by ferry from Suratthani, including Koh Samui, Koh Phangan and Koh Tao.
Cons
Although ChokeAnan Tour offers services to Suratthani, passengers have to arrange their own transport from Suratthani to destinations such as Koh Samui. It would be helpful if this operator offered package tickets that included the ferry to the island of your choice, this is an option with other transport providers on this route and ensures that your trip is hassle-free and easier to plan. It can be a pain having to research information about the ferry to the islands and then purchase tickets in advance. Also, this means that you will have to arrange your own transport from the bus station to the ferry port.
Keep in mind
On all of these routes there is a wide range of vehicles operating, with a choice between express or VIP buses (with an option of 24, 32 or 35 seat coaches).
Travellers Reviews
With 50 years of experience on these routes, ChokeAnan Tour is one of the most popular and reliable operators in the country. Passengers are pleased with the comfort of all the vehicles on these routes as well as the flexibility from the timetable of services, with the option of overnight or daytime buses that should suit your schedule.
The biggest issue that some travellers have with the operator is the fact that package tickets to Koh Samui, Koh Phangan and Koh Tao are not available, so tickets have to be purchased separately which can cost more money and requires more planning!
