Company Information
Burapha is a bus company that sells a range of combo tickets between Koh Chang and Bangkok and Pattaya. As Koh Chang is an island, tickets include ferry transfers across to the island as well as bus transportation.
Many of the buses include pick up directly from the main airport in Bangkok which is Suvarnabhumi Airport and then takes you straight to Koh Chang from there. Longer routes on Express buses provide food, snacks, and drinks as well as blankets.
Depending on the different routes buses may vary. Some of these are Express buses which are large and have spacious seating and reclining seats. Other routes however use minivans which are much smaller and do not have a full range of amenities.
Routes served by Suvarnabhumi Burapha Bus Company
This bus company services a variety of routes around Thailand although these are mostly focused on travel to and from Koh Chang. You can get directly to Koh Chang or to the pier in Trat from where there are also options to get to Koh Kood and Koh Mak.
Suvarnabhumi Airport–Koh Chang
Tickets from Suvarnabhumi Airport to Koh Chang cost THB680 and are sold in the form of combo tickets including minivan or bus transport and ferry transfers. Buses leave the airport at 7.50 am, 11 am, or 2 pm and there is also a bus at 11 pm. The journey takes between 6 and 7 hours.
Koh Chang to Suvarnabhumi Airport
A very convenient service if you need to get directly from Koh Chang to Suvarnabhumi Airport. Buses are quite reliable as far as the travel time is concerned and leave from Klong Son on Koh Chang. Tickets on this bus are priced at THB680. Buses leave at 7 am, 12 pm, and 5 pm. The journey takes between 6 and 7 hours and depends on the bus option you choose as this route uses both minivans and Express buses.
Pros
Burapha Bus Company offers direct pick up at the main airport in Bangkok which means you can go straight to Koh Chang as soon as you arrive without having to travel to the bus station in Bangkok independently.
As Burapha Bus Company offers combo tickets that include bus and ferry journeys to Koh Chang this is one of the cheapest ways to travel to the island.
All buses have air conditioning including mini vans.
Cons
Some of the buses that serve these routes are Express buses and others are minivans. If you feel uncomfortable when travelling in a minivan you will need to check ahead of time to find out which kind of vehicle will be used.
Minivans do not have as much legroom as the larger buses and do not include complementary food and snacks.
Air conditioning inside minivans may not always work.
Keep in mind
Booking a ticket with this company means that you will not have to transfer between different operators when you get to the ferry at Koh Chang which can make for an easier and quicker journey.
What travellers say
There are some reports of buses being delayed and failing to leave on time. This is a fairly frequent occurrence in Thailand although you should make sure to leave time for any connecting journey (such as a flight out of Bangkok).
Some passengers prefer to take an Express Bus rather than a minivan for safety and comfort reasons. Minivans are usual quicker and do not have a full range of amenities, and there have been reports of drivers exceeding the speed limit when driving minivans. If you suffer from motion sickness you may prefer to take an Express bus rather than a minivan.
Passengers have reported that the bus company desk in Koh Chang is clearly marked and easy to find and that customer service are friendly and speak good English.

El autobús correcto, al menos no fue una furgoneta, pero en 5 horas de trayecto por carretera, solo paró 3 minutos exactos para ir al baño a toda prisa. Una vez en la isla dejó a todos los pasajeros y a nosotros nos dijo que nuestro hotel estaba fuera de la ruta, nos dejó 5 minutos en coche de él. Es decir, son unos cutres!!!! Y tuvimos que gastar 5€ extras porque era plena noche para que nos llevarán a él.

Extra seat for luggage was unnecessary (I spent 700 thb). The driver rided about 70 km/h whole journey. The journey ended in front of the hotel.

Der Servicestand im Flughafen ist super zu finden gewesen. Der Bus war pünktlich, ist sehr gut gefahren. Es gab einen Halt für Toilettengang und Mittagspause. Danach wurde bis zur Fähre durchgefahren. Wir wurden bis zum Resort gebracht, wie alle anderen Gäste auch. Das war ein super Service für diesen Preis. Top

On time. The bus was fine, the driver drove nicely. One break for bathroom visit and snacks which was more than enough. After the ferry we were all asked were we stayed and then all driven to our seperately hotels. Very nice service

No way to book seats during the booking. My wife and I couldn't travel together and both our neighbours, travelling alone, refused to accommodate each other. Very good driver. Thanks to him to drive carefully.

Адекватный ценник за такой маршрут. Автобус конечно без туалета, но по пути было две стоянки, мин. по 15, т.ч. хватало времени и перекусить и отдохнуть.
Приезжая на паром, вас делят на группы в зависимости кто-где остановился на острове, затем по прибытию на остров сажают группы на минибасы и развозят по отелям.
Из минусов, иногда водитель вкл. по дороге громко музыку, чем неприменно меня будил.
В остальном всё приемлимо!

700baht if bought online, 600 at the airport. Trip was ok, minibus and driver too.
Bought the combo ticket because it included transport to the hotel. Im a girl, traveled by myself. Driver dropped me off the bus after the ferry and wouldnt take me 5min/4km to the Serenity resort from the pier because apparently he can can only go right. Was left there at 8pm, pitch dark, nobody there and thank god my resort manager sent a car for me. Was scared and frustrated, so keep that in mind if your hotel is on the east side of the island, they will not honor the “drop off at the hotel” deal.

### Booking the service:
-------------------------
When I made the booking an insurance was offered. I did not want to buy one so I checked that off.
After having paid I noticed that the insurance was anyhow added and an extra 100 THB charged.
### Finding the meeting place:
--------------------------
I got the instructions that the meeting point is at the Ground Floor (G) at Suvarnabhumi airport. When I was at the place the choice was between Bottom (B) and 1. level. I went first to the B -level, found nothing and asked others. Then I got the info that G -level means 1 -level, where I found the Koh Chang -desk with ease.
### The bus:
--------
1. The space between chairs was not designed for Europeans, I had to sit crosswise with my feet at the aisle. -That was really a painful experience to do for so many hours. Most of my fellow travellers sat on the same way as I did, their feet on the aisle.
2. The shock absorbtion system of the bus was not in order, apparently the absorbers were completely worn out. That made my experience of the travel even worse.
3. No WIFI, toilet or selling of anything were available in the bus.
### The stops: There was one 20 minutes stop during the bus travel. There was only one shop and restaurant available for buying food and drinks. The shop prices were around twice the normal prices, the restaurant prices were not that much over prized.
### The deliverance:
----------------
1. When I made the booking the information given was that I would be delivered to my destination hotel.
When arriving to the island I was told that the bus does not go to the Lonely Beach -destinations and that I must take a taxi and pay extra for that. Of course I was disappointed which I also mentioned to the personnel.
At the bus final stop we were a few passenger left to a mini-lorry-bus to be delivered to our destinations.
There we had to wait for another bus to come which would more passengers to our lorry-bus.
After their arrival we were charged 100 THB each for the “taxi” service. We were eight passengers, so the company got a total of 800 THB extra from us.
2. When I was dropped off the “taxi” it showed that I had to find myself the way to my destination and carry my luggage by myself. After having asked a few people and walked 300 meters and asked again I found my destination.
My understanding of the service received that it is partly a rip off the tourists.

Good driver, nice bus and 2 stops on the way. The bus did not make the same ferry as us passengers, so we had to wait for it at the port. We were taken care of by a lady until the bus came. We were also driven to our hotel

Нашли стойку регистрации без проблем.
Небольшой автобус, внутри чисто и не много людей, ехали с комфортом!
Было две остановки минут по 10.
Отправление по расписанию, прибыв на остров, всех развезли по отелям!!!
Советую, очень довольны!!!

The trip was canceled without notice. The next departure was 1h 45m later. attention to flight schedules. 2 stars only because I took the plane anyway, and for the excellent driver.

Actually: the service was very good. Everything to the minute in time, and we were even droppen at the hotel on koh chang with the same minibus.
But. Take care of drinks/food yourselves, there's no service on board, no wifi, no usb-loader. And, and, and; do NOT sit on the seats in the last row; the bus has no shockbreaking that is functional, so every uneveness in the road comes as a real shock, and that for hours and hours. So that's why not more than 3 stars
But whatever, i'm there (here)

Abholen an einem zentraleren ort währe kein luxus bei dem preis. Musste noch zusätzlich 300Bath bezahlen fürs Taxi obwohl andere am Hotel abgeholt wurden

Выезд был из суварнабхуми бурафа 8 выход на первом этаже, маршрутка прямо рядом была, легко нашли, спросили у стойки при выходе, минута в минуту отправились, одна остановка на 10 минут, отлично все, на паром заезд прямо в автобусе(он между пазиком и маршруткой средний автобус) привезли прямо в отель. 5 баллов. Рекомендую

Ехала из аэропорта Суварнабхуми на Ко Чанг, организация поездки на отлично, было две остановки, паром ждали недолго, потом всех развезли по отелям. Рекомендую этот вид транспорта.

Два раза ( в 2018 и 2019 годах) ездил из Бангкока на Ко Чанг. Билеты брал за 5-6 месяцев до даты отправления - никаких проблем. Все хорошо. Партнер надежный!

Отлично доехали! Мягкие кресла. Скорость авто низкая, если бы ехал под 100 км, доехали бы быстрее. Довезли прямо до рецепции отеля! Здорово!

Super experience!
The bus counter was on the ground floor, also called floor 1. There it seemed that the gates stopped on nr 4 gate-ish on that floor - but I asked some nice and helpful Security staff at a counter there and they pointed me trough the toilets/tunnel.
I had originally pre-booked a minivan bus ticket at 11.00 to koh Chang. But I arrived early and was welcome to switch to the 07.50 big bus without any fee or trouble whatsoever at all. At the mainland port of koh Chang I got off the bus, A helpful lady helped us all. At a counter ,I had to tell my hotel, and got a tiny sticker and a ticket with their writing on my hotel name -and on the other side I was hearded into a minibus and droven to the doorstep of my hotel!

две остановки в пути, за доставку от отеля до автостанции клонг сон попросили доп. 300 бат за 3-х, не удобные кожанные кресла + слабоватый кондиционер.
водитель при этом молодец, все во время и без происшествий, всех пересчитывал при отправке каждый раз, чтобы кого-то не забыть.

The bus departure was moved one hour later without prior informing us! We could have spent more time on the beach inspite of waiting in their office. The leg room is very tiny.

Es lief alles super. Die Fahrt war angenehm (klimatisiert und zügig). Mit langen Beinen muss man schnell sein und sich auf die rechte Seite setzen. Links ist das platzangebot sehr eng bemessen.

We were left to the ferry station without any other instruction than that the transport will continue after ferry trip on the island side ? There were no one waiting for us.
Ater several confusion we finally got car which took us to the hotels.
As we paid the transport from the airport to the hotel why cant we have transport with same car all the way to the hotel including the ferry trip?

В а/п У выхода 8 в кассе нам сказали ждать, автобус придет в 10-50, а когда добраться до Бурафа? После моего уточнения, кое как объяснили, что придет не автобус, а минивэн и что ездить ни куда не надо. Далее- поездка прошла хорошо, с одной остановкой (а где ещё одна). По приезду к пирсу очень долго стояли ждали. Оказалось, что нашему транспорту, что попасть на паром, ждать почти 3 часа. Но здесь сработали хорошо. Нам предложили самим подняться на паром, переплыть на остров, а там встретил другой водитель. Довезли хорошо. В конечном пункте были намного позже указанного времени, темно. Результат поездки - благополучно в отеле. Нужно подкорректировать организацию. Да ваучер не стали менять на билет,(оплачивал заранее) остались без указанного места, там где было свободно.
